Who gets it
Right now: established artists, creators, public figures, and accounts we have manually reviewed for authenticity. We do not sell it. You cannot buy it with a higher tier.
How to apply
Sign in, then open the contact form and pick Apply for verification. The option only appears when you are signed in, because the application has to be tied to the account you want verified.
You will be asked for:
- Who you are applying as: an individual or creator, an organization or brand, or a government or official body.
- Your legal name. We use it to check the application. We do not publish it.
- The organization and your role there, if you are applying for a brand or an official body.
- Proof. Links that show the account is really you: an official site that links back to your Melodreams page, a press profile, other verified accounts. This is the part that decides it, so put your effort here.
A person reads every application. If we approve it, the badge appears next to your name and you get an email. If we decline, that is not a judgement of you: we verify a small number of accounts and most applications do not meet that bar. You can apply again later if things change.

The amber shield means Melodreams crew. The green tree means a developer or community contributor. Same rules: not for sale.
